JuicePlan is a monthly subscription plan that brings all the power and smart charging of JuiceBox into your home, eliminating all upfront investments and providing immediate access to professional, low-cost installations. Just sign up and get your smart home EV charging going.

How does it work?

1. Answer a few simple questions about your home EV installation needs.

2. Get an instant quote for your monthly JuicePlan.

3. Sign up for JuicePlan, agree to the terms and provide your credit card information to begin your subscription. We’ll send your JuiceBox to you.

4. Take the EV readiness survey to schedule your professional installation, so that we can put the best installer for the job in touch with you. We’ll connect you with a selected, qualified installer.

5. The installation partner will reach out to you to schedule and complete the charging station installation.

6. You're ready to charge at home. The first payment of your subscription will be made 30 days after you initially ordered. Following the installation of your box, your JuicePlan term will begin.


JuicePlan is a subscription service that includes:

  • JuiceBox Pro 40 with NEMA 14-50 plug
  • JuiceNet app and JuiceNet online dashboard
  • Professional installation and activation services

The duration of the JuicePlan subscription is 5 years (60 months). For each month of the subscription following the start of service (which begins 30 days after your order and after your JuiceBox has been installed), you will be charged one fee per month. The monthly fee amount is determined by the cost of installation, which is determined through our simple questionnaire and/or a consultation with an EV charging expert.

The JuicePlan subscriber is responsible for obtaining and paying for all required local or other permits. In some cases, the EV charging installer may be able to obtain these on behalf of the customer and will charge a separate fee to the customer directly. These permitting services and fees are outside of the JuicePlan agreement and are in no way the responsibility of eMotorWerks, an Enel Group Company.

Following installation, you will have access to all the features of the JuiceNet app and dashboard, including monitoring, scheduling, and more. To leverage the JuiceNet app and dashboard, you will need to keep your JuiceBox connected to WiFi at all times. If your box is disconnected from WiFi for more than a short period, you will be subject to an additional $10 monthly fee.

FAQ

Does JuicePlan include a plug-in JuiceBox or a hardwired JuiceBox?

JuicePlan comes with the plug-in version of JuiceBox Pro 40 featuring a standard 240V NEMA 14-50 plug.

What happens after I sign up?

eMotorWerks will ship your JuiceBox to the shipping address you provided when you signed up for our subscription service, and you will receive an EV readiness survey via email. Please fill out and submit this survey to provide the information we need to connect you to one of our installation partners in your area.

After you submit the survey, a certified installer will call you within two business days to schedule your site visit and installation. Installers will schedule your site visit within 1-2 weeks, and the installation will occur at the scheduled time. In a few cases, the installer may need to make a second visit to complete the installation. All installation will be complete within the first month of service.

How do I pay?

By credit card. To sign up, you’ll provide your credit card information for recurring payments. Your first monthly payment will occur 30 days after your sign up date. Please note that for verification purposes your card will be charged a one dollar fee at sign up. That fee will be credited back to you within 2-3 days of the sign up date.

Can I install my JuiceBox myself?

JuicePlan requires a professional installation to ensure you are set up to get maximum functionality and benefit from your JuiceBox. Our short questionnaire identifies what type of installation is needed based on your home’s electrical characteristics. With JuicePlan, all you have to do is plug in. If you prefer installing your JuiceBox yourself, you can purchase the JuiceBox through our store.

I completed my initial questionnaire. Instead of receiving a monthly price for my subscription, I received an option that refers me to a home charging consultant. What is this?

In some cases, complex home electrical systems can require a consultation with an expert to determine your monthly fee. In these cases, a home charging consultant will get in touch with you to ask detailed questions about your electrical configuration so that a full, custom package can be set up for you. This service requires a small, $50 fee. The fee is fully refundable once your consultant follow-up has occurred and you have completed your JuicePlan order.

The questionnaire says JuicePlan is not available in my area. When will it be available?

We are expanding JuicePlan to new areas constantly. If JuicePlan is currently unavailable in your area, please provide your name and email on the eligibility form, and we will notify you when the service becomes available in your area.

Does JuicePlan include the electricity to charge my electric vehicle?

No, JuicePlan does not include electricity. However, the JuiceNet app’s smart charging features let you schedule your charging when rates are low to save on your electric bills.

Will I have to pay for my JuicePlan service when my box is not yet installed?

No. The installation will be completed within 30 days of your order and your first payment will occur 30 days after your order date. So once your JuiceBox is installed, the rest of the first month is on us!

What if I want to cancel my subscription?

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting customer support.

If you cancel prior to the end of the JuicePlan 60-month term, you will be charged an early termination fee. This fee may vary between roughly $800 and $1,600, depending on the cost of installing the JuiceBox and the length of time left on your commitment term. Upon your request, and at any time, your eMotorWerks customer service representative can let you know what your termination fee is. Cancellations made prior to the day of your installation appointment are made free of charge; however, after an installer appointment has been scheduled and the installer travels to your home for installation, you will be subject to the applicable early termination fee.

What do I do with my JuiceBox after I’ve cancelled?

If you are cancelling within the commitment term, you will be charged an early termination fee, and you will need to ship your JuiceBox back to us. If you are cancelling after the commitment term has been completed, you can end your subscription and ship your JuiceBox back to us, continue your subscription on a month-to-month basis, or purchase your JuiceBox outright. You can contact eMotorWerks customer support for shipping instructions or to find out more details.

How do I return my JuiceBox?

You will need to contact customer support to get an appropriate shipping address. You will need to pay any associated shipping costs.

What are energy services?

The low monthly rate JuicePlan subscribers pay for their EV charging installation and use of JuiceBox is made possible in part by subscribers’ participation in energy services programs, which leverage an EV’s flexible charging schedule and associated data to create value for utilities and energy providers.

With JuicePlan, eMotorWerks intends to ensure that your electric vehicle is charged to your desired level when you need it. Consistent with this intent, eMotorWerks from time to time may send a “Smart Charging” instruction to stop, start, and/or adjust the rate at which your vehicle draws electricity in order to participate in demand response events, provide reliability services to energy providers, and reduce the overall cost of electricity supply and reliance on pollution-emitting energy sources. eMotorWerks will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that any battery charge level you requested upon initial connection to your charging station is fulfilled. You can override a Smart Charging instruction through the JuiceNet mobile app or web portal.

All JuicePlan subscribers who are eligible for participation in local energy services programs are required to participate. If you are eligible for energy services programs, our customer support team will reach out to you shortly after your sign up to get you enrolled.

What happens if I move while under my commitment term?

If you need to move while using your JuicePlan, you are welcome to continue using JuicePlan for the length of your subscription term. If your new home requires electrical or installation work, you will need to pay for all associated installation costs in your new home. You can contact customer support and we can refer you to an installer in your area, if there is one in your area.

Is my JuiceBox required to be connected to WiFi at all times?

With JuicePlan, your JuiceBox home charging station is required to be connected to JuiceNet servers via WiFi at all times. If your JuiceBox is disconnected from WiFi for an extended period of time, you may be assessed a small additional fee on your monthly bill. This fee can be removed at any time if your JuiceBox is reconnected to JuiceNet via WiFi. Please refer to the Service Agreement for more information.

Am I eligible to receive applicable EV charging rebates for JuiceBox from third parties?

Because you do not own a JuiceBox with JuicePlan, in many cases you are not eligible for rebates on EV charging station hardware. However, you may be eligible for other EV and EV charging rebates, depending on your location. Check with your local utility.
