JuiceBox Pro is a durable smart hardwired home EV charging station. JuiceBox Pro 16 is a compact, high power and fully ruggedised electric vehicle charging station with advanced WiFi control and smart grid features. JuiceBox automatically adjusts to provide just as much power as your EV is able to accept, up to 16 amps for both 1 phase and 3 phase power connection.

Can JuiceBox adjust output amperage?

Yes, you can adjust the maximum charging power limit in the JuiceNet app or in the dashboard settings. You could do this, for instance, if you have a lower power circuit breaker that you want to ensure is not tripped during charging.

Do I need a WiFi setup at home?

You will need a WiFi connection in order to use the smart charging features. However, you may also use a mobile hotspot (such as the one on your phone, or an independent module) to manage the JuiceBox. Your JuiceBox will act as a standard charging unit in absence of WiFi and any schedules or limits you set when connected to the JuiceBox will remain even if the JuiceBox is disconnects from WiFi.

What are the advantages of having WiFi connectivity?

Built-in WiFi allows you to:

  • Set charging schedules so that your EV avoids consuming electricity at peak times. Some energy providers offer or will offer time of use (TOU) rate schedules to their customers who are EV drivers.
  • Track energy usage, allowing you to view your charging history and extract accurate energy data.
    • Safely manage charging of multiple vehicles - If you have more than one EV, you can set up your two (or more) JuiceBox Pro units to share one electrical circuit. Say, you have only 16 A capacity in your panel but have two vehicles charging simultaneously. You can program your JuiceBox Pro units to never exceed a 16 A combined draw. If only one car is charging, it gets the full 16 A of current. When the second car shows up, the current gets shared 8 A / 8 A between the two. When one of the cars finishes charging, the remaining car ramps back up to 16 A.
  • Become eligible for demand response and other energy programs in your region.
Is JuiceBox safety certified?

Yes, JuiceBox is CE compliant according to EN 65851-1 and -22 and corresponding international IEC standards.

What electric vehicle models is this unit compatible with?

JuiceBox Pro works well with ALL EVs as it utilises a standard  Type 2 connector and a charging protocol that has been adopted by all EV manufacturers and has many years experience supporting tens of thousands of installed stations across the world.
